    What else can you do?

    Scenario 1:
A spectator takes a $100 dollar bill and a $1 coin puts them behind his back, out of the performers line of sight and decides which hand to hold each in. He brings both closed fists in front of him. The performer instantly knows which hand he’s holding the $100 bill in with 100% accuracy. You'll need Sensor Discs from the accessories.

Scenario 2: Five spectators are give blank cards and a dry marker. Each spectator makes a simple drawing. The drawings are randomized. One by one the performer in an uncanny fashion does a short reading about the artist of each drawing and concludes by giving each drawing to the correct artist. You'll need Blank Cards from the accessories.

Scenario 3: You are drinking a bottle of coke, you hand the cap to a spectator and ask them to place it in either hand. In a blink you can correctly tell the spectator where it is located. You'll need Sensor Discs from the accessories.

Scenario 4: Five ESP Cards are handed to a spectator or spectators. The performer can instantly tell which symbol each spectator is holding out of sight.

Scenario 5: 10 cards are handed to a group of spectators on stage. Each bears a simple drawing - a stick man, a boat etc. Spectators choose a card each and hold them out of sight. With un-erring accuracy you can tell each which picture they hold. Check Pictosense in the accessories

Scenario 6. A spectator is introduced to the concept that there are 9 core emotions. Selecting just one of these completely freely, the spectator stands centre stage and you retire to the audience. Explaining your observations your begin to explain the spectator's face, posture, demeanour and ultimately their thought of emotion. Check Emotional Response in the accessories.

Scenario 7. A spectator concentratates on their zodiac sign and you can immediately reveal character traits and their very sign. No pumping and anagrams, just straight out mind reading! Check Astrosense in the accessories.

These are only a few of the many possible effects with Probe!

    So exactly what is Probe?
The technology that is the core of Probe is RFID. It uses radio waves that are sent out from the receiver to an ID chips. Each chip has a separate ID code such as 1,2 etc. Probe is around the size of a watch and has a Velcro strap. It is easily concealed on your wrist, arm, leg, waist band etc.

The ID chips are very simple in construction. They are a single chip connected to a tiny antenna. The chip is smaller that the head of a pin. They have no moving parts or batteries. Perhaps the best part is they are maintenance free. Each ID chip is encased in very tough plastic that makes them bombproof. Check out the picture at the bottom of the page and you’ll see that they are very small. These are approximately the diameter of a Quarter or half dollar (dependent on which ones you buy) and only as thick as three pieces of paper.

The ID chips can be hidden inside of just about anything with one exception. The RF will not penetrate metal. So you cannot hide an ID chip inside of a gaffed coin or wrap it inside of aluminum foil. Metal totally blocks the necessary signal. The signal will penetrate skin, flesh and bone so that you can Probe inside of a spectators hand. The signal will go through paper, wood, plastic etc. The possibilities are endless. You can Probe and learn the ID inside of a person’s hand, envelopes, wood boxes and so much more.

So how come its so small?
This is the beauty of PROBE. Dave’s design is brilliant. He’s taken the existing technology and has miniaturized the necessary electronics so that the Sensor is all self contained in one tiny unit. This unit contains the RFID technology, an on/off switch and the battery system. There are no extra wires trailing all over your body to other components as used by ALL other RFID products on the market. Dave’s solution makes using Probe a performer’s dream. You just strap the Sensor on your forearm or hide it under your belt or any other location you can dream up and switch it on. It’s always ready to go!

So what does the Sensor actually do?
Once activated, the Sensor is constantly sending out an energized pulse. This energized pulse carries the necessary energy to activate the ID Chips. As soon as the ID chip is inside of range it “talks back” and sends it’s ID code to the Sensor. The Sensor instantly “knows” the chips ID code, for instance #2.

How do I know what the ID code is?
It couldn’t be easier. Dave has built a small vibration system into the device. It vibrates a simple code to the performer. You feel it on your skin. It’s virtually self-working. ID code #1 is one vibration, #2 is two vibes. The basic Probe unit can identify ID codes from 1-12. ID codes 1-5 vibrate the same number as the ID code. ID codes 6-12 are slightly different. Starting at #6 there is a longer vibration. #7 is the long vibration and one short vibration and so on. It may sound complicated but in use the ID are totally obvious to the performer even while you talking.

It’s extremely easy to use in performance.

How far is the working range of Probe?
The range on cards is approximately 4 to 6 inches. The range on sensor discs is 3 - 4 inches. As a rule, start each show with fresh batteries and your range is maximised. They’re very inexpensive. As you are working and the batteries start to wear down you’ll know it.

But how do I get the Sensor 4 to 5 inches from the ID chips?
This is dead simple! Sean, Dave and the many existing users have come up with countless different logical reasons that bring the Sensor within range of the ID chips. The handlings are natural and feel very non invasive. The spectators will not even be aware that you’ve been near the hidden object! 9 such handlings are described on the DVD

What's Included with the Probe Kit?
Each Probe kit comes with the Sensor, a training DVD that covers the uses and include routines and set of cards with the Rhine ESP symbols printed on them. Five blank cards with one symbol printed on each. The cardstock is plastic and similar to a white credit card. Each card has a different Rhine symbol and is impregnated with an ID chip. The classic code for Rhine symbols is used and easy to remember. Circle=1, Cross=2, Wavy Lines=3, Square=4, Star=5. You can see each ID matches the number of sides of the symbol.

Why should I purchase Probe instead of other RFID products?
The reasons are many and include size, weight, power, price, durability and convenience but your decision should be based on what you want to do with RFID technology. PROBE is a workers prop and offers many advantages over the competition.

Size: Probe is the smallest RFID reader on the market. 3" long, 1.5 " wide and .75 thick.

Weight: Probe is the lightest RFID reader on the market.

The Strap: Probe attaches to you forearm with a comfortable Velcro strap. You can wear it all day an not know it's there.

No Wires: Probe is completely self-contained unit. Wires are bad. Not comfortable, not convenient, and they break. Probe has no wires. Probe guarantees reliability you can count on.

Easiest To Use: Probe is by far the most convenient reader to use. All you need to do is strap it on your forearm and you're ready to go. It takes seconds to get ready.

    Price Probe is $475.95 USD.
The accessories are additional. You only pay for what you need. You don't have to buy the entire kit and pay for stuff you don't need and will never use.

What: Exactly what do you want to do effect wise?

The RFID technology opens up an incredible world to the working mentalist. The possibilities are probably endless. We're all at the cutting edge and I'm sure in two years we'll be amazed by what performers have created using both PROBE.

    Where Where do you work?
Walk-a-round, table hopping, formal close up, parlor, stage each have their own scenario AND probe CROSSES ALL THESE BOUNDARIES.

Each system has it's on set of strengths and weaknesses. There's always a trade off. As a pro I want to get to my show and get ready as fast as possible. Probe is ready to go in 2 seconds.

    Bob Kohler says.......
"I personally have real world experience as a trade show performer for over 20 years. I can tell you that loose wires eventually cause problems. I've worn virtually every wireless mic system up to $3000 Sennheiser systems and all of them eventually down right when you need them because loose wires must move. When they move, they wear. Where they wear, they eventually break. Wearing any kind of wire means you must give the wire some slack so that if you bend, reach or move your body you don't tug on it which could pull it loose or worse snap it. So for me for comfort, and convenience Probe wins."

The competition does offer some interesting uses for coding and using assistants. For some specific purposes I think this is awesome. Probe users can use a simple code such as the work covered in Ten Anneman's classic book En Rapport to get the job done. Anneman created a simple code for cards but the concept is easy to turn into a 12 item code. Geez, there are usually only 12 items the code has to cover so all you need is a 12 word system. If you need more than that then the competition is probably the way to go.

I know the main concern of many is the distance factor. In my mind it's now a non-issue. There are no awkward movements necessary...unless you're awkward. That I can't fix. Probe however is easy to get in the necessary position to get the ID code. All of the actions are MOTIVATED! That's it. The new training DVD covers all of the methods Sean, Dave, myself and our friends have come up with. The ways we get the Sensor into position has no tells The audience isn't aware we're "within range".

Last is the cost issue. Probe is modular. You can get the basic kit for $475.95 USD. If you want other accessories, no problem they are a la carte. You just pay for what you need. The competition is a kit. You have to purchase the entire enchilada for $900 Euros...that's nearly $1400.

I think Wade Whitcomb said it all
"I bought two probes this week! It's AMAZING! Simple and easy to use! LOVE IT!"

    To me it's a no-brainer...
